The Logan-Rogersville Tennis Wildcats defeated the Salem Tennis Tigers in Class 1, District 5 team play Wednesday, 5-0 to end the year for the Tigers who finished the year with a 13-5 record. 

Ryan Halinar pitched five innings giving up five hits and two runs for the win, and Brent Haliner got the save giving up a hit in his two innings of work to lead the Salem Tigers to a 4-2 victory over Cuba Wednesday. Kahne Barred and Hayden Ragsdale each had two hits for Salem, while Wayne Skidmore drove in two runs to lead the offense. Salem improves to 6-13 on the season and the Tigers will be back at it today as they take on the Willow Springs Bears at 4:30 at the Salem High School Baseball Field Complex. This game will NOT be carried on KSMO Media due to coverage of the Lady Tiger District game in Potosi.

The 2nd seeded Salem Lady Softball Tigers will face Kingston in Potosi at 4:30 in Class 2, District 3 tournament play in the third of four games today. The game will be carried on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and 95.7 FM) and audio streamed on KSMO Media (ksmoradio.com, the KSMO Stream Facebook Page, and the KSMO YouTube Page) starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Jim Moore about 15 minutes before the start of the game. The game will also be carried on MSHSAA.TV for a fee. The winner of the Salem-Kingston game will play Monday afternoon at 5:30 in Potosi against the winner of the Bourbon Lady Warhawks and Grandview Lady Eagles match.

It took nearly eight innings for the St. Louis Cardinals to get on the board yesterday in their game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Alec Burleson batted in a run while Nolan Gorman scored on a Brewers fielding error, but it was all too little too late as Milwaukee took the game 6-2. The Cardinals are on the road today to play a late game out in San Diego against the Padres. You can listen to this game live on KSMO Radio with coverage set to begin at 8:15 tonight.
