The Salem Lady Softball Tigers beat Bourbon Wednesday, 20-7 to end their season at 7-7. The 4th seeded Lady Softball Tigers will play Licking at 2:00 on Saturday at the Potosi Trojan Sports Complex against the 5th seeded Licking Lady Wildcats. The winner will play the winner of the Potosi and Grandview (Hillsboro) game Monday afternoon at 4:30 at Potosi.

The Salem Baseball Tigers Baseball Classic will be held at the Salem High School Baseball Complex today through Saturday. Today’s games have been pushed ahead one hour from the previously scheduled time. Cuba and Salem will now play this morning at 10:30 followed by the Sullivan-Cuba game at 1:30. The final game will be Salem vs Sullivan at 4:30. On Friday, the Licking, Pacific and Waynesville pool will play; and Saturday, the 3rd place teams in each pool will play at 11:30, the 2nd place teams will play at 2:30 and the championship game will be at 5:30 between the 1st place finishers in each pool. Games will NOT be carried on KSMO.

A 9th inning pinch hit homer by Jake Lamb tied the game and a Mike Trout home run one out later helped propel the LA Angels of Anaheim to a 6-4 win over St. Louis Wednesday. Nolan Gorman and Dylan Carlson homered for the Red Birds who have lost five straight. The Cardinals and Angels play today at 11:20 on KSMO.

Zack Greinke and four relievers pitched a six-hit shutout as Kansas City beat Baltimore Wednesday, 6-0. The Royals and Orioles play this afternoon at Kaufmann Stadium.
