The Salem Spring Sports Banquet will be held tonight at the Salem High School Cafeteria. Athletes from the baseball, tennis, track and golf teams will be recognized. The banquet will begin at 6:30.

The City of Salem Park and Recreation Department is reminding citizens that THE Alice Lou Craig Municipal Swimming Pool season passes are now available at the Healthy Dent County Office at the Salem Community Center@The Armory. The cost of a season pass is $160 for two adults and two children. They also want to announce the splash pad near Billie’s Playground is now open for all to use and it is FREE!

Mike Soroka pitched seven shutout innings and Austin Riley’s first major league hit, a home run, proved to be the difference as the Braves shutout the Cardinals Wednesday, 4-0.The Cardinals wrap up their series with Atlanta tonight starting at 5:25 on KSMO.

Willie Calhoun, Shin-Soo-Choo and Ronald Guzman all homered to lead the Texas Rangers past the Kansas City Royals at Kaufmann Stadium, 6-1.The Royals and Rangers finish their up their three game series today at Kaufmann Stadium.

David Perron scored twice in Game 3 to help the Blues erase two separate two-goal deficits, but the San Jose Sharks won Game 3 in overtime, 5-4 on a goal by Erik Karlsson. Alex Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored for the Blues. The Blues and Sharks will match up Friday night in St. Louis in Game 4 best-of-seven Western Division Conference.
