The St. Louis Blues will host the Colorado Avalanche tonight starting at 6:30 on KSMO Radio to start a short two game home stand. The Blues have won two straight after losing nine of their previous ten games. The Blues sit one point out of a playoff position.

Matt Carpenter hit a two-run homer in the 3rd inning and Luke Voit pinch-hitting for Carpenter in the 5th inning also homered as the Cardinals beat the Houston Astros, 3-1 Wednesday. Adam Wainwright went five innings giving up four hits and one unearned run to get the win. The Cards are 9-8 for the spring and face the Baltimore Orioles this afternoon.

Kansas City scored two runs in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings to overcome a 5-1 deficit and beat the Chicago Cubs, 7-6. The Royals are now 9-10 on the spring and they will play the LA Dodgers today.

The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department is currently holding signups for their Youth Baseball and Softball Leagues. The cost is $25 per child for all boys and girls ages 4 through 14. You can sign up your child at the Salem Community Center@The Armory during regular business hours which is 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday.
