The Salem Winter Sports Athletic Banquet was held Tuesday night at the Salem High School Cafeteria where the basketball teams and the cheerleaders were honored. Coach Jake Reardon of the Lady Tigers does not give out individual awards but acknowledged how this team set numerous school records for points, most fouls in a season, most three pointers highest game total by two teams and more. Coach Conrad Prugh did give out awards for the boys basketball team and his Offensive MVP went to junior Reese Dodson, his Defensive MVP went to senior Hadyn Wilson and the team MVP went to senior Jordan Shults. Good job Tigers!

Jordan Geist scored 30 points and Xavier Pinson added 15 more as the Missouri Tigers beat the Georgia Bulldogs Wednesday in the 1st round of the SEC Tournament, 71-61. Missouri will play Auburn at 2:00 Thursday afternoon on KSMO.

The St. Louis Blues will be at Ottawa to face the Senators tonight at 6:00 on KSMO Radio. The Blues have lost their last two games. The Blues are two points ahead of Dallas for 3rd place in the Central Division and four points out of 2nd place behind Nashville.

The Cardinals were held to only three hits and the Miami Marlins beat the Cardinals Wednesday, 4-1. St. Louis will play the New York Mets this afternoon.

Kansas City had 21 hits and scored four runs in three different innings in beating Cleveland Wednesday, 17-7. The Royals will have the day off today.
