In game three of a four game series the St. Louis Cardinals hosted the Chicago Cubs last night. The Cubs scored at least one run in the first five innings and shut out the Cardinals 8-0. The Cards still lead the series 2-1 and will try to go for the series win this afternoon. The Kansas City Royals and the Tampa Bay Rays played game two of a three game series last night in Kauffman Stadium. The Royals allowed the Rays 11 hits but the Rays only converted three of those into scored runs. Unfortunately the Royals weren’t able to generate much offense, scoring no runs on only three hits. The Royals will try to avoid the sweep in the final game this afternoon at 1:10.
