The San Diego Padres avoided being swept by the St. Louis Cardinals yesterday afternoon by a score of 6-1. The lone run scored for St. Louis was by way of an Alec Burleson line drive single that drove in Nathan Church. The Red Birds will be in Kansas City to face the Royals this evening for their second meeting of the season. Last time these two teams met the Cardinals took the series 2-1. Tonight’s game will be live on KSMO Radio 1340 AM & 95.7 FM with the pregame show at 5:45 with first pitch to follow at 6:40.
