The St. Louis Blues jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead, then smothered the Boston Bruin offense before scoring two more goals in the third period en route to a 4-1 win and their FIRST Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history. Alex Petrangelo had a goal and an assist. Ryan O’Reilly scored a goal and was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy for being the MVP in the playoffs. Braden Schenn and Zach Sanford also scored for the Blues.

Garrett Cooper hit a second inning grand slam and Curtis Grandserson added a three run homer as Miami blanked the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday, 9-0. The Cards will start a four game road trip against tonight the New York Mets beginning with the pre-game show at 5:15 on KSMO Radio.

The Detroit Tigers scored a run in the 8th inning to break a 2-2 tie and went on to a 3-2 win over Kansas City. The Royals and Tigers will match up tonight to finish up their three game series.
