The 2025-26 Salem Lady Tigers Softball team was recently recognized for achieving Academic All-State Honors. As a team, Alaina Norris, Alexis White, Shaylee Thomas, Madison Mercer, Regan Thompson, Aubree Grauf, Josie Bowers, Raven Gillam, Isabel Thomas, Mackenzie Radford and Zaylee Sahli had a combined team grade point average of 3.95! Congratulations Lady Tigers on an outstanding achievement and exemplifying what it means to be great student athletes.

The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels played their final game of a three game series yesterday afternoon. The game remained scoreless until in the top of the sixth JJ Wetherholt hit a solo home run that would turn out to be the deciding play of the game. The Cardinals defeated the Angels and are back home today for a make up game with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
