The 2025 MLB All-Star Game was held Tuesday night and early on it looked like the National League was going to walk away with the game, scoring six runs before the American League’s All-Stars could get on the board. In the seventh the American League All-Stars’ Brent Rooker hit a three-run homer while a Bobby Witt Jr.’s ground out allowed Maikel Garcia to score bringing the game within two. Bobby Witt Jr. returned in the ninth batting in another run before a Steven Kwan single allowed Witt to cross home plate. This tied up the game and after nine innings of play, the first ever All-Star Swing Off was needed to decide a winner. Kyle Schwarber hit all three of his allotted pitches out of the park giving the National League All-Stars the edge and the eventual victory that was recorded as a 7-6 final score.
