SMH Family Medicine is offering Comprehensive Sports Physicals at $10 per student. Physicals are required by MSHSSA every two years for all high school sports including cheerleading, flag corp and marching band. If your child is participating in any of these activities, call 729-8000 to make an appointment at the clinic although walk-in physicals are also available. Remember if the child is 17 years of age or younger, a parent or guardian must be present at the time of the physical.

St. Louis Blues have signed forward Oskar Sundqvist to a one-year contract for the 2023-2024 year. Sundqvist was a key part of the Blues’ 2019 Stanley Cup run and last year played with Detroit & Minnesota. Sundqvist played with the Blues from 2017-2022 after being acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Blues also announced goaltender Thomas Greiss retired Wednesday after playing one season with the Blues. Greiss went 7-10 in his only season with St. Louis. His career mark was 162-130-37 with six NHL teams.

Salem High School Head Football Coach Neal Myers will be holding a Salem High School Summer Football Camp beginning Monday, July 17th and will continue weekdays through Friday, July 28th for $50 which includes a camp T-shirt. The camp is open to interested players in grades 9 through 12 and will be held from 7:00 until 10:00 in the morning. The camp will teach position drills as well as work on offense and defense skills. A team camp will be held at Farmington on July 28th. Coach Myers asks that participants get their physicals completed by the start of camp. Registration forms for the camp are available by e-mailing Coach Myers at neal.myers@salemr80.org. All registration forms and payment will be due by July 18th.
