The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will travel to Ava tonight to face the Lady Bears in another SCA contest. The Lady Tigers enter the game with an 11-9 overall record and 2-2 in the SCA Conference. The JV game will begin at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow.

Jared Harper scored 16 points while Chuma Okeke and Bryce Brown each had 14 to help Auburn snap a three-game losing streak with a 92-58 rout of Missouri Wednesday night. The Tigers will host Vanderbilt Saturday night at 7:00. That game will NOT be heard on KSMO due to Blues hockey. Missouri has a 10-8 record, and they are 1-5 in the SEC Conference.

The St. Louis Blues will be back in action Saturday night after the All-Star break in Columbus as they face the Blue Jackets at 5:30. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.

Parents in Salem have a special opportunity to help their children develop soccer skills through a unique national program that is available. The “Start Smart Soccer Program” is available for youngsters ages three to five whose parent or another adult is able to attend the six, one-hour sessions with them. The “Start Smart Soccer Program” will begin March 5th at the Salem Community Center @ the Armory at 6 PM! The “Start Smart Soccer Program” targets parents who want to help their child develop basic motor skills such as kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins and running that are needed to participate in organized soccer. The cost of the program is $55 and the children signed up will receive a two soccer balls, four practices cones, a shirt and shinguards.
