The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers finished up their three game series yesterday afternoon in Dodger Stadium. A Brendan Donovan single in the third got the Red Birds on the board first but a Shohei Ohtani two run homer put the Dodgers on top. In the eighth the Cardinals were still down by one. A Jordan Walker single allowed Alec Burleson and Masyn Winn to cross home plate after a throwing error by the Dodgers’ third baseman. With the momentum in their favor the Cardinals went on to win the game, 5-3 and take the series 2-1. The Cardinals are heading home to start a new series versus the Chicago Cubs tomorrow night. The last time these two team met the Cubs took the series, 2-1. Friday’s game will be live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM with pregame coverage starting at 6:20.

The Kansas City Royals were able to avoid the three game series sweep against the Boston Red Sox last night. The Royals fell behind early but a Kyle Isbel single drove in two runs for the Royals and they never looked back, for a 7-3 win. The Royals will face the Twins Friday night at 7:10.
