Last night the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates played game three in a four game series. Pedro Pages hit a single in the second bringing in Masyn Winn for the first run scored on the night. The Pirates responded four innings later with two runs scored off a Tommy Pham single. It was a relatively quiet night from there on out as neither team would get a runner beyond second base for the remainder of the game. With the 2-1 loss the Cardinals are going to go for the series tie this afternoon on KSMO Radio 1340 AM & 95.7 FM, with pregame coverage beginning at 12:20.
The Kansas City Royals stunned the Chicago White Sox last night when they hit an eight-run fifth inning. The Royals added three runs in the sixth on their way to a 12-1 victory over the Sox and claimed the series 2-1. Mike Yastrzemski had a night to remember stepping up to the plate five times hitting a home run, a double, and three RBIs. The Royals have the day off today before starting a new series with the Detroit Tigers on Friday.
It’s the home opener for the Mizzou Tigers and you can listen to the game live tonight on KSMO Radio as they’ll face the Central Arkansas Bears to begin the 2025 campaign. Coverage of the game starts with the kickoff at 6:30.
