Kyle Hendricks of the Chicago Cubs gave up 7 hits over 7 innings while striking out seven to lead the Cubs to a 2-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Miles Mickolas gave up an unearned run on six hits in 5 2/3rds as he took the loss and is 7-11 on the year. The Cards and Cubs play this afternoon at 5:20 on KSMO.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced they have completed a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, acquiring left-handed pitcher Tony Cingrani and minor league right-handed pitcher Jeffry Abreu in exchange for infielder Jedd Gyorko, 2019/2020 International Cap Space and cash considerations. Both Cingrani and Gyorko are currently on 60-day injured lists.

Bo Bichette, the 21-year old son of Dante Bichette, smacked his first major league home run and had three hits to help proopel the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-1 win over Kansas City Wednesday afternoon. Toronto swept the three game series from the Royals who will have the day off today before starting a three game series in Minnesota Friday.
