The St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies wrapped a three game series yesterday afternoon. Early on in the second, Nathan Church doubled to bring Jordan Walker home for the first run scored in the game. By the fifth, tied at one, the Red Birds blew the game wide open with a four-run inning. A pair of runs scored later in the seventh would round out the 7-1 victory over the Phillies and take the series, 2-1. The Cardinals have the day off today as they prepare to face the Cubs in Chicago tomorrow afternoon.
