The Salem Baseball Tigers will travel to Thayer today at 4:30 for an SCA Conference game. Salem is now 2-6 on the year and 1-0 in the SCA Conference. If played, you can hear the game online on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Tiger Tennis Team took 2nd in the Salem Invitational Wednesday falling to Houston. Salem will be at Rolla on Monday and at Willow Springs next Tuesday.

The Salem Tiger Golf Team is scheduled to host the Salem Open today at the Spring Creek Golf Club starting at 9:00, weather permitting.

Paul DeJong and Harrison Bader homered, and Tyler O’Neil drove in the go ahead run in the 10th inning with a single as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates in 10 innings Wednesday at PNC Park, 5-4. The Cards finished their road trip with a 3-3 record.

The St. Louis Cardinals home opener scheduled for this afternoon at Busch Stadium against the San Diego Padres has been postponed and rescheduled for Friday afternoon starting with the pre-game show at 1:40 on KSMO. Fans with tickets to Thursday game should use those same tickets for admittance to the rescheduled game on Friday.

The Minnesota Twins pushed a run across in the top of the 10th inning after tying the game in the 9th inning to beat Kansas City, 5-4 Tuesday night. Last night, the Twins came back from a 6-4 deficit with two runs in the 8th inning and another in the 9th inning for a 7-6 win. The Kansas City Royals will start a three game series with Detroit today.

Tyler Bozak scored with 39 seconds left in the game to tie the game with Chicago only to have the Blackhawks win the game in the shootout, 4-3. The Blues earned a huge point and are still in 3rd place in the Central Division. Vladimir Tarasenko and David Perron also scored for the Blues who will be home tonight to host the Philadelphia Flyers at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.
