The Salem Lady Softball Tigers take on the Thayer Lady Bobcats today at 4:30 at the Salem City Park in a makeup game from Tuesday ‘s postponement. Salem is 13-6 on the year while Thayer is 14-4. The Lady Bobcats have clinched the SCA Conference Championship with a 6-0 conference record while Salem is battling for 2nd place and they are 4-2 in conference play. The game will not be carried on KSMO Media due to previous commitments.

The Salem Baseball Classic will begin today in Pool “A” play with Mountain Grove facing Cuba at 11:30 this morning, with the Panthers then facing Pacific at 2:00. In the final game of the day, Cuba will play Pacific starting at 4:30 at the Salem High School Baseball Field Complex. Pool “B” play will begin Friday morning at 11:30 with Salem playing Licking.

The Salem Tigers Boys Baseball game with Mountain Grove that was postponed Monday due to possible severe weather has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 13th at 4:30 at Mountain Grove.

The Salem Tennis Tigers will participate in Class 1, District 5 individual tournament today at Logan-Rogersville.

The Cardinals secured a series win last night against the Pirates with a 5-4 Red Bird winner! Halfway through the game it looked like the Cardinals were going to make it look easy with a 5-1 lead in the seventh. The Pirates fought back cutting the lead down to one. In the bottom of the ninth, Nathan Church caught the final out on the warning track next to the wall to secure the win. The Cardinals are looking for the four game sweep this morning on KSMO Radio with pregame coverage starting early at 10:40 and first pitch at 11:35.
