The Salem Tiger Tennis Team won the SCA Conference Championship Wednesday at the Salem City Park!! The Tigers scored 12.5 points followed by Mountain Grove with nine points and Willow Springs with eight points. Named to All-SCA Team were Ginnar Konkel, Logan Hubbs, Layton Southards and Lawson Petty. Congratulations to Coach Hubbs and the Salem Tennis Team!!! Salem will host Mountain Grove this afternoon at 4:00 at the Salem City Park.

The Salem Baseball Tigers took a 3-0 first inning lead, the gave up four runs to Cabool in the bottom of the 1st inning, only to rally with four runs in the 6th inning to earn a 7-4 win over the Bulldogs. Salem is 6-6 on the year and they are 2-1 in the SCA Conference. Salem is scheduled to be at Houston Friday afternoon at 4:30.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers finished their spring season with a record of 7-5 with two wins Wednesday at Cabool. First the Lady Tigers beat Cabool, 7-3, and then in another makeup game with Mountain View-Liberty played in Cabool, Salem beat the Lady Eagles, 16-0. The Lady Tigers finished the spring season with an SCA Conference record of 4-3. Good job ladies!!!

The Salem Varsity Track team will participate in the Mountain Grove Invitational on Thursday at 3:30.

The St. Louis Cardinals came back from a 4-1 deficit and beat the New York Mets Wednesday, 10 to 5. Nolan Arenado was 3-3 with three RBI while Corey Dickerson and Dylan Carlson each drove in two runs for St. Louis. The Cards will host the Arizona Diamondbacks this evening. Andrew Vaughn’s three-run homer in the bottom of the 7th inning broke open a 3-3 tie and led the Chicago White Sox to a 7-3 win over the Kansas City Royals Wednesday. The rubber game of the three-game series will be this afternoon in Chicago.
