The Salem Tiger Baseball game with Thayer scheduled for Wednesday as postponed due to rain. No rescheduled date was announced. Salem stands at 8-9 on the year and they are 4-1 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will be part of a JV tournament this Saturday in Licking while the varsity will be off until next Thursday when they will play in the Salem baseball Tournament unless the Thayer game is made up before then.

Parents of children 14 years of age and under can still sign their children up for the City of Salem Youth Baseball, Softball and T-Ball Leagues for $35 per child. Signups are being held at the Salem Community Center@The Armory. The league will start the last week of May and wrap up before July 4th. All signups will end THIS FRIDAY!!! Marcell Ozuna cracked a three-run homer in the 4th inning and Yadier Molina hit a solo shot in the same inning as the St. Louis Cardinals swept the three game series from the Milwaukee Brewers with a 5-2 win Wednesday afternoon. Adam Wainwright got the win going six innings giving up only one run on four hits as he got his 150th career win as a Cardinal. He is 2-2 on the year. The Cards will have the day off today before starting a three game series with Cincinnati Friday night on KSMO Radio.

Adalberto Mondesi homered and drove in four runs and Witt Merrifield also went deep as the Kansas City Royals beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 10-2. Jakob Junis got the win going five innings and giving up one run. He is now 2-2 on the year. The Royals will have today off before they host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in a three game series this Friday night at Kaufmann Stadium.

The Stanley Cup Playoff second round will begin tonight at 8:00 at the Enterprises Center when the St. Louis Blues host the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of the best-of-seven series on KSMO.
