The Salem Tennis Tigers took 3rd Place in the West Plains Invitational Wednesday behind Forsyth who finished in 1st Place and Rogersville who took 2nd Place. Individually, Blayne Canaday and Braiden Gapsch took 3rd Place. Also for Salem, Jordan Hubbs passed Tatum Hatridge for most wins by a girl in school history with 50. The Tennis Tigers will host the SCA Tournament today at the Salem City Park.

The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Mountain-View to face the Liberty Eagles in an SCA Conference tilt starting at 4:30 today. Both teams enter the game with a 2-2 SCA Conference record. Salem enters the game with a 5-7 overall record and Mountain View is 5-8 on the season. The game will be broadcast on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and 95.7 FM) and audio streamed on KSMO Media (ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook and KSMO YouTube) starting at 4:15 with Tiger Talk and Coach Tony Edwards.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be at Mountain Grove this afternoon at 4:30 in an SCA Conference matchup. Salem has won seven straight games and are to 11-4 on the year. Salem is 3-2 in the SCA Conference while Mountain Grove is 4-2 in the conference.

The Salem Golf Team will be at Mountain Grove for their Golf Invitational this morning starting at 9:00.

Jakop Marsee had two RBI’s, one on a bases loaded walk in the two-run 2nd inning which proved to be the game-winning RBI, was all that the Miami Marlins would need as they beat the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday, 4-1 to take the series, two games to one. The Marlins banged out 12 hits in the game and Janson Junk went five scoreless inning to get the win for Miami who is now 12-13 on the year. The only Cardinal run was a 9th inning homer by Ivan Herrera. St. Louis will have the day off today before starting a three-game series Friday night against Seattle starting at 6:20 on KSMO Radio.
