The Potosi Trojans slammed eight home runs and beat the Salem Tigers, 23-12. The Trojans finished with 18 hits and were given ten walks. Silas Wulff hit a two-run homer and Nate Bray had four hits for Salem who is now 3-7 on the year. Salem will be at Cabool this afternoon at 4:30 this afternoon. The Salem Tiger Track Teams will be at the Ava Invitational this afternoon starting at 4:00.

Time is running out to sign up your youngster 14 and under for the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Baseball, T-Ball and Softball Leagues. Parents only have today and tomorrow and the cost is $35 per child. You can sign up your child at the Salem Community Center@The Armory during their regular business hours, 8:00 – 4:30. The game between the Cardinals and Cubs Wednesday was postponed and rescheduled for this afternoon starting at 12:25 on KSMO Radio.

Teoscar Hernandez had four hits, including a two-run home run, Curtis Granderson hit his ninth career grand slam and the Toronto Blue Jays routed Kansas City 15-5 on Wednesday to complete a three-game sweep of the Royals, losers of eight straight. Whit Merrifield had a two-run homer and Jorge Soler hit a solo blast, but the Royals’ April slide continued. The Royals will have the day off today.
