The Salem Chamber Singers competed in Nationals at San Diego recently where they received Gold in their class and category, the Spirit of San Diego Award, and the Adjudicators Award. Senior Corby Ball received the Maestro Award for his solo in Artiz Addarean.

Two 7th inning errors allowed the Willow Springs Bears to score an unearned run and beat the Salem Baseball Tigers Wednesday at Willow Springs, 5-4. Willow came back from a 3-0 5th inning deficit by scoring four runs in the bottom of the 5th inning before Salem tied the game in the 6th inning. Bryar Bobbitt had a two-out RBI double, and Roy Stevens added a two-out RBI triple for Salem who fall to 7-3 -1 on the year and 3-1 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will host Waynesville Friday at 4:30 at the SHS Baseball Field Complex.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be at Thayer today, weather permitting, to face the Lady Bobcats at 4:30. Salem is 8-6 overall and 1-2 in the SCA Conference.
The Salem Tennis team will be at Licking this afternoon starting at 4:00. Salem is 5-2 on the year.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Houston Astros yesterday afternoon by a score of 4-1, taking the series 2-1. They’ll start a four game series against the New York Mets tonight. You can listen to this game live on KSMO Radio with coverage beginning at 5:15.

The Kansas City Royals fell to the New York Yankees by a score of 4-3. They play the Detroit Tigers tonight starting at 5:40.
