The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Thayer this afternoon at 4:30 in an SCA Conference contest. Salem is 3-8 on the year and 1-2 in the SCA Conference. The game can be heard on AM 1340, 95.7 FM, ksmoradio.com and the KSMO Stream Facebook page.

The Salem Tigers Tennis Team will be at Licking this afternoon at 4:00.

The Salem High School Track Team will be at Owensville Friday and NOT today as indicated on the original sports schedule. The start time will be at 2:30.

Nolan Gorman did it again as he hit a two-run homer in the 8th inning to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-4 win over Colorado Wednesday afternoon. Nolan Arenado also hit a two-run homer and Tyler O’Neill crushed a homer as well. Jordan Walker got a 9th inning single to extend his hit streak to 12 games and tie a century old record. The Red Birds will host the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at 5:50 or right after Salem Tiger Baseball on KSMO.

The Kansas City Royals scored three runs in the 2nd inning and four runs in the 7th inning as the beat Texas, 10-1. M.J. Melendez had two hits and three RBI to lead Kansas City while Bobby Witt, Jr. had three hits in the game and an RBI as well. The Royals will have the day off today.

The St. Louis Blues lost their regular season home finale to the Dallas Stars, 5-2. The two teams play again tonight which will wrap up the season for the Blues who will miss the playoffs. The game will NOT be on KSMO.
