The Salem Middle School Lady Tigers will travel to Bland this afternoon to play against the Lady Bears. Seventh grade is scheduled to start at 5:00 with eight grade to follow.

The Ava Football Bears JV team will come to town to take on the Salem JV Tigers tonight at 6:00.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be in action tonight versus the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs. Freshmen are scheduled to start at 4:45, with a JV and Varsity match to follow. You can listen to the Varsity game live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM or watch it live on KSMO Media.

The Kansas City Chiefs played the Los Angeles Chargers yesterday. The Chargers jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter but then the Chiefs would respond with 17 unanswered points, winning the game and going 4-0 on the season.

The Kansas City Royals played the Atlanta Braves over the weekend. They lost the overall series 2-1, losing Friday 3-0 and again Saturday 2-1. Yesterday the Royals would avoid the sweep with a 4-2 victory and finishing the regular season 86-76. The Royals will face the Baltimore Orioles tomorrow afternoon with the first pitch at 3:08.

The St. Louis Cardinals finished their 2024 season yesterday with a 6-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants. The Cards finish the season with a 83-79 record.
