The Salem Softball Lady Tigers lost all three games at the Ciba Tournament Saturday. In the first game, they lost to Neelyville, 12-3, then lost to St. James, 8-7 before falling to Cuba, 9-5 as the Lady Wildcats won the tournament. Salem is now 3-6 on the year and have lost five straight. The Lady Tigers will host the Lebanon Lady Yellowjackets today at 4:30 at the Salem City Park. The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers Saturday at Cabool went 1-2-1 as they beat Couch, split with Neosho and lost to Winona and Licking. Salem is now 2-5-1 on the year and they will be at St. James today in a makeup from earlier this year staring with the 9th grade at 5:00 followed by the JV and varsity matches.

Jackson Willison rushed the ball 16 times for 114 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Thayer Bobcats to a 47-6 win over Salem Friday night. Salem’s only touchdown was a three-yard run by Easton May. Salem falls to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the SCA Conference and will be at Ava Friday night.

The Cardinals swept the weekend series from the San Diego Padres winning Sunday, 8-7 after scoring five runs in the 1st inning. The Cards came back Saturday and won 3-2 on a Tyler O’Neill 8th inning two-run homer. The Cards will be at Milwaukee for a four-game series starting tonight after Lady Tiger Softball on KSMO Radio.

The Seattle Mariners took two of three games form Kansas City this weekend, winning Sunday 7-1 to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Royals will begin a three-game series at Cleveland tonight.

The Missouri Football Tigers beat Southeast Missouri State Saturday, 59-28 as quarterback Conner Bazelac went 21 of 30 for 346 yards and three touchdowns. Missouri will play Boston College for the first time ever this Saturday at 11:00.
