Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers traveled to West Plains on Saturday for a Showdown Tournament. They tied their first match with Spokane 1-1. The Lady Tigers lost to Blair Oaks 2-0. They lost to Rolla 2-0. After playing the Pool Play, they were placed in the Bronze Division Tournament. In that tournament, Salem defeated Doniphan 2-0, then played against Crowley Ridge Academy, from Paragould, Arkansas, but lost 2-1, for the championship. The Lady Tigers will play in Potosi tomorrow evening at 6:30.

Houston Tiger, Jordan Arthur, ran the ball 18 times for 119 yards as Houston beat the Salem Football Tigers Friday night, 28-7. Salem ran the ball for 113 yards. Ragsdale threw to Mendenhall who ran it in for a 65 yard touchdown in the third quarter, giving the Salem Tigers a total of 186 yards on offense. The Tigers will be travelling to Thayer to play against the Bobcats this Friday starting at 7:00. Mizzou Tigers Football beat the Boston College Eagles this past weekend 27-21. Their next game will be on Saturday afternoon against the Vanderbilt Commodores at 3:15.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 on Friday, 7-2 on Saturday, and 3-2 yesterday. The Redbirds play the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight with pregame beginning at 5:40. You can listen to this live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7.

The Kansas City Royals won their series against the Pittsburgh Pirates by scores of: 8-3 on Friday, 5-1 on Saturday, and 4-3 yesterday. They will be hosting the Detroit Tigers, at home, starting tonight at 6:40. 

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Cincinnati Bengals yesterday 26-25. The Chiefs will be traveling to Atlanta to take on the Falcons this Sunday night at 7:20.
