Caden Camden, Jimmy Barton and Dawson Mock each scored two touchdowns as Salem amassed 437 yards of offense and ruined the Houston Tiger Homecoming with a 47-8 win at Houston. Garrett Connell was 8-18 for 193 yards and two touchdown and scored once himself on a 43-yard run. Salem is 3-0 on the year and 1-0 in the SCA Conference. They will be home Friday night to face Thayer starting at 7:00.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be at Waynesville this afternoon to take on the Lady Tigers at 4:30. Salem enters the game with a 4-2 record.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will host the West Plains Lady Zizzers tonight at the SHS Gym with the JV action starting at 6:00 with the varsity match to follow. Salem is o-3 on the year and the JV is 1-1.

The Salem JV Football Tigers will be at Houston tonight to face the Tigers starting at 6:00. Salem is 2-0 on the year.

Ryan Braun’s 9th inning grand slam proved to be the difference as the St. Louis Cardinals smashed four home runs in the game Sunday but came up short, 7-6. Harrison Bader had two solo shots while Paul DeJong and Tommy Edman had two-run homers. Milwaukee took 2 of 3 games from the Red Birds this weekend and their lead over Chicago is just 2 games and 3 over the Brewers. The Cards play Washington tonight starting at 5:50 on KSMO Radio.

Josh Reddick went 5-5 on the day that included a home run and three RBI as the Houston Astros knocked out 16 hits and beat the Kansas City Royals, 12-3. The Astros swept the three game series from the Royals dropping Kansas City to 40 games below .500. The Royals will travel to Oakland to face the A’s tonight.

The Missouri Football Tigers had little trouble with Southeast Missouri State Saturday night as the Tigers shutout the Redhawks, 50-0. Missouri built a 27-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Larry Rountree finished with 142 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Tucker McCann converted field goals of 52, 44 and 42 yards. Missouri will host South Carolina this Saturday afternoon.

Patrick Mahomes was 30-44 for 443 yards and four touchdowns as the Kansas City Chiefs scored all their points in the 2nd quarter and beat the Oakland Raiders, 28-10. Demarcus Robinson had two of those touchdown passes while Travis Kelce and Mecole Hardman had the others. Kansas City is 2-0 on the year. The Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The St. Louis Blues first pre-season game is tonight at Dallas starting at 7:30.
