The Salem Football Tigers could not slow down the Houston Tiger running game as Dakota James scored four touchdowns and Andrew Carroll scored another as Houston beat Salem Friday, 32-6 at Bill Schuchardt Stadium. Kaiden Dubois scored the lone Salem touchdown on a 51-yard-run. Salem falls to 0-3, 0-1 in the SCA Conference, and will face the Thayer Bobcats Friday night at Thayer.

The Salem JV Football Tigers are 1-1. They will play Houston Monday in Salem.

Last Thursday, the Salem 7th grade Tigers lost to the Willow Springs Bears, 12-2; while the 8th grade Tigers won, 38-6 in Salem. The 7th & 8th grade Tigers will at Mountain Grove Thursday.

Missouri quarterbacks threw four interceptions as Kansas State beat the Tigers, 40-12. Missouri falls to 1-1 and will host Abilene Christian Saturday.

Albert Pujols hit his 697th career homer in the 9th inning followed by a solo shot by Tyler O’Neil as the St. Louis Cardinals beat Pittsburgh Sunday, 4-3. The Cards are off tonight

Brady Singer pitched seven innings of four-hit ball as Kansas City beat Detroit Sunday, 4-0. The Royals will be off tonight.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was 30-39 passing with 5 touchdown passes for 360 yards as Kansas City beat Arizona Sunday, 44-21. The Chiefs play the LA Chargers Thursday night.
