Caden Camden scored on a pass from Garrett Connell in the 1st quarter, then added a three yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter that was followed by a key two-point conversion by Connell that proved to be the difference as Salem hung on to beat the Willow Springs Bears, 22-21. Camden finished with a 127 yards rushing as Salem improves to 4-2 on the year and 2-2 in the SCA. They will host Mountain Grove Friday night and that will be Alumni Night, Homecoming and Senior Parent night.

The Missouri Football Tigers pounded Troy Saturday afternoon in Columbia by the score of 42-10. Cale Garrett had two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown as Quarterback Kelly Bryant was 12-29 for 221 and three scores, but left the game with an injury in the second quarter. Missouri is 4-1 and they will be hosting Mississippi Saturday and it will be their Homecoming game with a 6:00 expected start.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers lost in two straight games to the Lady Panthers of Mountain Grove Thursday. Salem is now 1-12-2 on the season. The Salem JV also lost in two straight games. The Lady Tigers will be at Bunker tonight at 6:00.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers went 2-2 in the Linn Tournament this weekend, losing Friday to Russellville, 8-1; then on Saturday beating Capital City High, 6-5 and Linn, 13-3, but losing to Calvary Lutheran, 4-1. Linn won the tournament. The Lady Tigers are 18-4 on the year and they will be St. Clair to face the Lady Bulldogs at 4:30 this afternoon.

Adam Duvall’s single in the top of the 9th inning drove in the winning runs as Atlanta rallied for three runs to ruin an outstanding pitching performance by Adam Wainwright and beat St. Louis 3-1. Atlanta leads the series, two games to one. The Cardinals and Braves play again this afternoon starting at 1:12 on KSMO Radio.

David Perron, Brayden Schenn and Sammy Blais scored for the Blues, who mounted a third-period comeback to secure their first win of the season over the Dallas Stars Saturday night by the score of 3-2. The Blues will be in Toronto tonight at 5:30 on KSMO or starting right after the St. Louis-Atlanta NLDS Game 4.
