Carter Degon rushed for two touchdowns while quarterback Everett Campbell threw two touchdown passes as the Salem Tigers beat the Willow Springs Bears Friday night, 42-12. Salem is now 1-5 on the year and 1-3 in the SCA Conference. It was Coach Neal Myers varsity first head coaching win. They play Mountain Grove Friday night in Salem and it will be Senior Night.

The Salem Freshman Football Tigers will host Sullivan today at 5:00 while the JV will host Willow Springs at 6:00. The JV is 1-3.

The Salem Lady Varsity Volleyball Tigers will be in Bunker to face the Lady Eagles with the varsity game starting at 5:30 with the JV to follow. The Varsity Lady Tigers are 2-16-2 and 1-3 in the SCA Conference. The Freshman Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Cuba at 4:30 today.

The Salem Middle School basketball Girls will be at Steelville today starting at 5:30 for 7th and 8th grade play.

Brady Cook went 33 of 41 passing for 395 yards and four touchdowns as the Missouri Football Tigers beat the Commodores of Vanderbilt Saturday, 38-21. Missouri amassed 532 yards in offense to go to 5-0 on the year. They will host LSU Saturday morning at 11:00 and you can hear the game on KSMO.

The Cardinals were blitzed Friday night by Cincinnati, 19-2, but then won their final series of 2023 by winning Saturday night, 15-6 and then edging the Reds Sunday, 4-3. The Cards ended the regular season with a 71-91 record finishing 21 games behind Milwaukee.

Kansas City beat the New York Yankees Sunday, 5-2 and took two of three games from the Bronx Bombers in the final weekend of the regular season. The Royals finished 56-106 tying the record for the worst record with the 2005 Royals team.

The St. Louis Blues lost to the Dallas Stars Saturday in overtime, 4-3, and will play Columbus tonight at 5:30 on KSMO.

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the NY Jets Sunday night, 23-20 to go to 3-1 on the year.
