Caden Camden’s fumble recovery and return of 40 yards for a touchdown in the 4th quarter proved to be the difference as the Salem Football Tigers edge Cabool Friday night at Cabool, 27-21. Camden had 25 carries for 126 yards in the game while Garrett Connell and Dawson Mock teamed up for three touchdown passes in the game of 5, 56 and 34 yards. Salem improved to 6-3 on the year and 4-3 in the SCA and the Tigers will face the Osage Indians in the 1st round of District play Friday night at the SHS Field. Game time is 7:00.

David Perron scored the game winner in overtime and Ryan O’Reilly had two goals and two assists as the St. Louis Blues beat Detroit in overtime, 5-4 Sunday. On Saturday, the Blues lost 3-0 to the Boston Bruins. The Blues will be back in action on Wednesday night at 6:30.

The Missouri Tigers dropped their second straight SEC Conference contest as they lost Saturday to Kentucky, 29-7. Missouri drops to 5-3 on the year and 2-2 in the SEC. Missouri will have a bye this Saturday

The Salem Cross Country Team will be at Ava Monday at 4:00 for an invitational meet.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers are seeded 7th in the Class 3, District 8 Tournament that will begin tonight at 6:15. The Lady Tigers will face the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs in the first round of the tournament in Sullivan. Admission to all the games is $5.00 per person for those six years of age above.
