The Salem Lady Tigers season came to an end Saturday afternoon against the Strafford Lady Indians in three straights sets. Strafford won by the score of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-18. The Lady Tigers finished the season with an 11-16 and 3 record. Congratulations to the Coach Barnes and the Lady Tigers on a fine season.

In one of the craziest high school football games in some time, the Salem Football Tigers led 14-0 in the first half, then trailed 18-14 with just over 2:30 left in the game. Salem scored with 2:22 left to go to take a 22-18 lead on an 11-yrad pass from Garrett Connell to Bradley Gover, but the Cabool Bulldogs scored with 36 seconds left on a 49-yard run by Baxter Davis to regain the lead, 26-22. But with only 8.4 seconds left, Garrett Connell spotted a wide open Luke Campbell in the end zone for the game winning touchdown pass from 29-yards away to give Salem the win, 30-26. Salem finished the regular season with 2-6 record and 2-5 in the SCA Conference. They will be at Priory High School Saturday afternoon in District play starting at 1:00. Priory finished the year with a 6-3 record and are seeded 3rd while the Salem Tigers are seeded 6th.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers had four players named to the Class 3, District 4 All-District softball team. Named to the All-District 1st team was Ashton Bowers while Denise Stoner, Bella Jadwin and Andrea Bray were named to the All-District 2nd Team. Congratulations ladies!

David Perron got the hat trick and finished with four points on the night as the St. louis Blues beat the LA Kings Saturday night in their home opener, 7-3. The Blues will host the Kings again tonight at 7:00. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio starting at 6:30.

The Tennessee Titans dominated Kansas City Sunday in Nashville beating the Chiefs, 27-3. Patrick Mahomes threw an interception in his sixth straight game and now has nine on the season. The Chiefs fall to 3-4 and they will host the New York Giants next Monday night.
