The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will play for the Class 3, District 9 Championship tonight against the Sullivan Lady Eagles as they outlasted the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs Saturday night in Sullivan in five games. Salem won the first two games; 25-11 and 25-20 before the Lady Bulldogs rallied to beat the Lady Tigers in Games 3 and 4; 20-25 and 22-25. Game 5 was tied at 7-7 before Salem took the lead for good and beat St. Clair, 15-10. Admission to the game is $6.00 per person for those six years of age and older. The game can be heard on KSMO AM 1340 & 95.7 FM and audio streamed on ksmoradio.com and the KSMO Stream Facebook page. The Bunker Lady Volleyball Eagles swept past Viburnum in District play Friday night beating the Lady Blue Jays, three games to none. The Lady Eagles will face Lesterville this evening in the matchup of #2 and #3 seeds around 6:15 in Ellington. If Bunker wins, they will face the winner of the South Iron and Bismark game Tuesday night at 6:00 in Ellington Admission is $6.00 per person, six years of age and older.

The Salem Football Tigers lost to the Cabool Bulldogs, Friday night 44-0. Salem ended the season with an 0-9 record and 0-7 in the SCA Conference. They will be at Sullivan in the first round of Districts starting at 7:00. Admission to the game is $6.00 for anyone six years of age and older. Jordan Binnington made 23 saves and the St. Louis Blues shutout the Edmonton Oilers Saturday afternoon, 2-0. The Blues are 3-0 on the season. Justin Faulk and Torey Krug scored for the Blues who will be in Winnipeg to face the Jets this evening. You can hear the game at 8:00 on KSMO Radio right after Salem Lady Tiger volleyball.

The Missouri Football Tigers built a 17-0 first half lead and held on to beat Vanderbilt Saturday by the score of 17-14. Luther Burden ran for one score and caught a pass for another accounting for both Missouri touchdowns. Missouri has a 3-4 record and 1-3 in the SEC Conference. Mizzou will travel to South Carolina to face the Gamecocks Saturday.

Mecole Hardman rushed for two touchdowns and caught another to help lead the Kansas City Chiefs past the San Francisco 49er’s Sunday, 44-23. Patrick Mahomes was 25 of 34 passing for 423 yards including three touchdowns and one interception. The Chiefs are 5-2 on the year and next week is their bye week.
