Brandon White ran for 127 yards and a touchdown and Salem scored 35 unanswered points Friday night and beat Willow Springs, 38-7. The Tiger got rushing touchdowns from Sam Ball, Caden Camden and Chandler Gray while Boone Schrader hauled in a 49-yard pass from Tristan Newman for another score. Salem is now 3-3 on the season and 2-2 in the SCA. They will be at Mountain Grove Friday night at 7:00.

The Salem JV Football team will be at Willow Springs today at 6:00 to face the Bears. The JV Tigers are 3-2 on the year.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers lost Thursday at Owensville, 5-3 to fall to 6-10 on the year. Salem enters the final week of the regular season with a game this afternoon against St. Clair starting at 4:30 at the Salem City Park. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

Anthony Rizzo had four hits and scored three times, and the Chicago Cubs set up a tiebreaker game for the NL Central title by beating the St. Louis Cardinals 10-5 on Sunday. Jose Martinez, Paul DeJong and Patrick Wisdom each had two hits for St. Louis, who finished two games out of the playoffs at 88-74.

Carlos Carrasco and Trevor Bauer combined for a five-hitter, Francisco Lindor homered and scored twice, and the Cleveland Indians beat the Kansas City Royals 2-1 on Sunday. Kansas City finished the year with a 58-104 record.

The St. Louis Blues beat the Dallas Stars Friday night and then lost to the Washington Capitals Sunday, 5-2 in the final pre-season game. The Blues finish the exhibition play with a 4-3 record. Opening night for the Blues is Thursday against Winnipeg at 6:30 on KSMO.

The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Denver Broncos tonight in Monday Night Football.
