The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers lost to Ava in the 3rd place game and took 4th place in the Sparta Invitational Tournament. Salem made it to bracket play by beating Fordland, splitting with Sparta and losing to Miller. In bracket play, the Tigers lost to Forsyth before losing a tough match with Ava in the 3rrd place game. Salem is 10-14-3 on the year and 3-3 in the SCA Conference. They will play Houston tomorrow night at Houston before District play at Strafford Thursday against St. James.

The Mountain View-Liberty Eagles took advantage of five Salem turnovers en route to a 48-8 win over Salem. They threw for four touchdowns and rushed for three others. Salem’s only score was a 29-yard pass from Garrett Connell to Brandley Gover. The regular season finale will be Friday night at Cabool starting at 7:00. Salem enters the game with a 1-6 record and 1-5 in the SCA.

The Missouri Tigers lost to Texas A&M Saturday at Faurot Field, 35-14. Missouri falls to 3-4 on the year and 0-3 in the SEC Conference. They will have this Saturday off.

The St. Louis Blues jumped out to a 3-0 and 4-1 lead against Colorado, then held on for a 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Denver. David Perron scored two goals for the Blues who continue their three-game road trip tonight in Arizona. You can hear the game on KSMO at 8:30.
