Brendon Smith scored on a one–yard run with just 1:15 seconds remaining in the game to break a scoreless tie between Salem and Mountain Grove Friday night that gave the Tigers the win on Homecoming Night, Senior Parent Night and Alumni weekend, 6-0. Salem improves to 5-2 on the year and 3-2 in the SCA Conference. Salem will travel to Mountain View to face the Liberty Eagles Friday night at 7:00 in another SCA Conference matchup.

The Salem JV Football Tigers will face the Mountain Grove Panthers tonight starting at 6:00 at the SHS Football Field. Salem is 4-2 going into the game tonight.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Plato tonight with the JV action beginning at 6:00 with the varsity match to follow.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost the first two games of the National League Championship Series at Busch Stadium this past weekend and trail this best-of-seven series, 2 games to none. Friday, the Cardinals were no-hit for 7 2/3rds innings and lost the game 2-0. Saturday, the Cardinals lost 3-1. Tonight the Cardinals will send Jack Flaherty against Steven Strasburg for Washington in Game 3 that game will get underway at 6:38. The pre-game show can be heard on KSMO Radio beginning at 5:43.

The St. Louis Blues dropped a 6-3 decision to the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night for their first regulation loss this year. They are 3-1-1 on the season and they will be in New York this afternoon to face the Islanders starting at 11:30 this morning.

A 23 point 3rd quarter led Missouri to a 38-27 win over Ole Miss Saturday and gives Missouri a 5-1 record overall. The Tigers will be at Vanderbilt on Saturday at 3:00. KSMO will join the game in progress after Blues Hockey.

The Houston Texans scored 20 points in the 2nd quarter and beat the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, 31-24. The Chiefs fall to 4-2 on the season.
