The Salem Football Tigers scored in the 4th quarter, then held off the Panthers last gasp by intercepting a pass in the end zone with six seconds left to seal a 21-14 win. Salem improves to 4-3 on the year and 3-2 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will host Mountain View-Liberty this Friday night at 7:00 at the SHS Field. Football vouchers for this Friday’s game will not be available till noon on today.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers blasted Alton Friday, 15-6 to improve to 11-8 on the year. The Lady Tigers have won 9 of their last ten games. The JV also won Friday, 3-2. The Lady Softball Tigers will be at East Carter this afternoon for their final make-up game before District play begins Wednesday afternoon at Sullivan against Cuba at 3:30.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will host Plato tonight and Mountain Grove tomorrow night at the SHS gymnasium. Both matches will begin at 5:30. Vouchers for the Volleyball Games for today and tomorrow are available in the High School office! If attending tonight’s game the vouchers must be picked up by noon.

The Missouri and LSU Tigers had a shootout Saturday in the game moved to Columbia due to Hurricane Delta with Missouri outlasting LSU in a 45-41 win for their first win of the year.
Quarterback Connor Bazelak threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers including a five-yard TD pass to Niko Hea with 5:08 seconds left in the 4th quarter that proved to be the game winner. Bazelak was 29-0f 34 for 406 yards. Larry Roundtree had 18 carrries for 121 for Missouri to lead all rushers in the game. Missouri is 1-2 on the year and they will host Vanderbilt Saturday at 5:30 on KSMO.

Derek Carr threw three touchdown passes and finished the game with 347 yards in passing and the Las Vegas Raiders defense blanketed Kansas City in the second half as the Raiders beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead, 40-32. Patrick Mahomes threw for two TD’s but also his first interception of the year totaling 340 yards. The Chiefs are are 4-1 and they play Buffalo Thursday night.
