The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers captured second place in the Licking Tournament losing in three games to Park Hills Central: 25-23, 24-26 and 19-25. The Lady Tigers finished pool play beating Summersville, Cabool, Steelville, and splitting with Liberty. The Lady Tigers were seeded second in the championship round and played Licking in the semifinals beating the Lady Wildcats, two games to one before facing the Lady Rebels of Park Hills Central for the championship. Tonight, the Lady Tigers will host Plato and it is Senior Night. The JV match starts at 5:30 with the seniors being honored after the JV match. The varsity match will follow. Both matches will be streamed on KSMO Media and the varsity games will have play-by-play that can also be heard on KSMO AM 1340 & 95.7 FM.

The Salem Tigers Varsity Football Team lost to the Mountain Grove Panthers Friday night in Mountain Grove, 51-12. Kaiden Dubois scored two touchdowns for Salem in the loss. Salem falls to 0-7 on the year and 0-5 in the SCA. They will host the Mountain View-Liberty Eagles Friday night and it will be Homecoming.

The Salem JV Football Tigers will be at Mountain Grove tonight at 6:00.

The Salem Cross Country Team will be at Willow Springs for the SCA Conference Cross Country meet today and it starts at 4:00.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost their Wild Card series to the Philadelphia Phillies this weekend, losing Friday blowing a 2-0 ninth inning lead and losing, 6-3; then falling 2-0 on Saturday.

Ivan Barbashev scored two goals as the St. Louis Blues beat Chicago Saturday, 6-0 to finish the preseason with a 6-2 record. The regular season starts Saturday against Columbus.

The Missouri Football Tigers lost in Florida to the Gators Saturday 24-17. Missouri record is 2-4 on the year and 0-3 in the SEC Conference.

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Las Vegas Raiders tonight at 7:15 on ESPN. Kansas City is 3-1 on the year and the Raiders are 1-3.
