Last week, Salem Lady Volleyball player Emily Strange was named to the Class 3, District 9 All-District Volleyball 2nd Team. Congratulations Emily!!

The Missouri Basketball Tigers led at half by seven, but the Memphis Tigers dominated the second half and outscored Missouri, 44-22 en route to a 70-55 win over Missouri Friday night. Missouri falls to 1-1 and will host SIU-Edwardsville tonight at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

Brayden Schenn and Pavel Buchnevich each scored a hat trick Saturday as the St. Louis Blues beat the Colorado Avalanche in Denver Saturday night, 8-2. It was the first time this has happened since 1986. The win was also Coach Craig Berube’s 200th win as the St. Louis Blues head coach. Buchnevich became the first Blues player ever to score two shorthanded goals and a power play tally for a hat trick. The blues will host the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night at 6;30 on KSMO Radio.

Former St. Louis Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock was part of the 2023 NHL Hall of Fame inductee class Friday afternoon in Toronto. Also enshrined Friday was former St. Louis Blues forward Pierre Turgeon who played with the Blues four years and compiled 281 points and 109 goals in that time.

Cody Schrader ran the ball 35 times for 205 yards and a touchdown, and caught five passes for 116 yards as the Missouri Tigers beat the Tennessee Volunteers Saturday, 36-7. Brady Cook threw for a touchdown and ran for another as the Tigers improve to 8-2 on the year and 4-2 in the SEC. It will be Senior Night Saturday night when the Tigers play Florida Saturday at 6:30.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will battle in a rematch of the Super Bowl tonight in Kansas City at 7:15. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year, 38-35. Kansas City enters the game with a 7-2 record while Philadelphia is 8-1 on the year.
