The Salem Tiger Baseball game with Sullivan on Friday was postponed due to wet grounds. The Tiger last regular season game will be tomorrow at 4:30 at the SHS Baseball Complex against Union. You can hear the game on KSMO and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Baseball team is seeded 6th in Class 4 District 9 baseball tournament scheduled for Saturday at Sullivan. Salem will face the 3rd seeded St. James Tigers starting at about 2:00 on KSMO and online at ksmoradio.com.

Class 1, District 9 Tennis play begins today at the Salem City Parl. The #6 seed Licking Wildcats will play the #3 seed Houston Tigers, and the #5 seed Mountain View-Liberty Eagles will face the #4 seed Willow Springs Bears. Mountain Grove is the 1st seed in the district tournament and Salem is seeded 2nd. The 1st and 2nd seeds do not play until tomorrow.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs 4-3 in the bottom of the 14th inning at Busch Stadium on a Dexter Fowler two out, two strike, two-run homer to sweep the series. Jed Gyorko also homered for St. Louis as the Cardinals will play Minnesota in a short two game series starting tonight at 6:15 on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that All-Star catcher Yadier Molina and right-handed pitcher Dominic Leone have been placed on the 10-day disabled list. Molina has undergone surgery for his injury and the team projects that he will miss at least four weeks.

The Kansas City Royals won a series for the first time in 11 tries this season, beating the Detroit Tigers 4-2 Sunday as Mike Moustakas drove in three runs with a double and sacrifice fly. Kansas City took three of four from the Tigers. Jakob Junis (4-2) matched his career high with eight strikeouts. He allowed two runs and eight hits in seven-plus innings. The Royals are off today.
