The St. Louis Cardinals took their series against the Kansas City Royals, 2-1. It all started on Friday with a thrilling eleven inning game that saw the Cardinals outlast the Royals 5-4, and a rowdy, shirtless upper deck crowd gain national attention with their cheers. Then on Saturday, Alec Burleson drove in a pair of runs while Masyn Winn and Victor Scott II each batted in a run for a 4-2 Red Bird winner. Yesterday afternoon the Royals avoided the sweep by shutting out the Cardinals, 2-0. The Cardinals have the day off today.
