The Sullivan Eagles had four players in double figure led by Gavin Dace with 19 as the Sullivan Eagles held off the #6 Salem Tigers Friday night in St. James, 61-44 to win the Class 4, District 3 Championship. Bryson May led Salem with 16 points before fouling out late in the game. Salem finished the year with a 9-19 record. Congratulations to Coach Jared Patterson and all the Tiger players for a great playoff run.

The St. James Lady Tigers outlasted the Salem Tigers Saturday afternoon to capture the Class 4, District 3 Title at St. James, 57-49. Salem only had one lead in the game, 22-20, but stayed close the entire game. Salem was led by Savannah Manthey with 24 points followed by Ashton Bowers with 10. Kendall Costopolis led St. James with 20 points followed by Olivia Herron with 16 and Emily Recker with 11. The Lady Tigers finished the year with a 17-11 record. Congratulations to Coach Cody Woody and the Lady Tigers on an exceptional season.

The St. Louis Blues lost to the Los Angeles Kings Saturday night, 4-2. The Blues got goals from Robert Thomas and Kasperi Kapanen in the loss. The Blues will be at Arizona Tuesday to face the Coyotes starting at 7:30 on KSMO.

The St. Louis Blues in their last deal before the trade deadline Friday acquired Jakub Vrana from Detroit in exchange for Dylan McLaughlin and a seventh round draft choice.

Four Missouri players were in double figures as the Tigers beat Ole Miss Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Arena, 82-77. Kobe Brown and Noah Carter each had 17 points followed by DeAndre Gholston with 15 and D’Moi Hodge with 14 more. Missouri finished the regular season with a 23-8 record and 11-7 in the SEC. They have been seeded 4th in the SEC Tournament and will play Friday afternoon at 2:30 against an opponent yet to be determined.

The New York Mets beat the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday, 7-1. Saturday, Jordan Walker hit two home runs, a double and single as the Cards beat the Washington Nationals, 9-6. St. Louis will play Houston today.

The Royals continue their hot spring with a 5-1 win over San Francisco to go to 9-2 on the spring. They will play the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon.
