The Salem Baseball Tiger began their 2026 season Saturday with back to back losses in the early season double header, losing to Vienna, 12-1; and then losing to Cuba, 11-1. Sylis Dubois had two hits in each game for Salem and Wayne Skidmore had an RBI in each game. Salem will host the Steelville Cardinals today at the SHS Baseball Field Complex starting at 4:30. That game will be aired on KSMO Radio and video streamed on KSMO Media starting at 4:15 with Tiger Talk and Coach Tony Edwards.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers 2026 season will begin tomorrow at Ellington starting at 4:30, while the Salem Tennis Team will be at Licking for a match at 4:30.

The Salem Boys and Girls Track teams will be at Fredericktown for a practice meet starting at 3:00 on Tuesday.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers season came to an end Friday night when they fell to the Miami Hurricanes, 80-66. Missouri was led by Jayden Stone with 21 points and Mark Mitchell with 19 points. Missouri finished the season with a 20-13 record.

Pius Suter and Pavel Buchnevich scored 1:19 apart in the second period, and the St. Louis Blues defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 at Rogers Arena on Saturday. Jordan Kyrou scored an empty net goal for the final tally for St. Louis who will host the Washington Capitals Tuesday night. The St. Louis Cardinals finished their Spring Training schedule yesterday afternoon with a 17-9 record after defeating the Houston Astros, 3-2. The Cardinals will begin their regular season hosting the Tampa Bay Rays this Thursday afternoon at 3:15. KSMO Radio’s coverage will begin live at 2:20.
