The Salem Baseball Tigers game with Cuba Friday was postponed due to rain and will be made up on Wednesday, April 13th. On Saturday at the Van Buren Wood Bat Challenge, Salem lost 9-6 to Woodland and 6-1 to Twin Rivers. Salem will take on the Steelville today at 4:30 at the SHS Baseball Complex. The varsity game will be video streamed on KSMO Media and heard on KSMO Radio starting with Tiger Talk with Coach Tony Edwards around 4:10.

The Salem Lady Tigers Spring Softball season will start off the season Tuesday at Ellington against the Lady Whippets at 4:30.

The Salem Tiger Varsity Track Team will in St. James Tuesday to kick off their season. The meet will begin at 3:30.

David Perron had a hat trick and an assist, but it was not enough as St. Louis lost to Columbus, 5-4. The Blues have lost three of their last four games The next game is Tuesday in at 5:30 in Washington against the Capitals on KSMO.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat Houston Friday, 4 to 2 as Andrew Knizner hit a two-run homer; and then beat the New York Mets Sunday, 6-4 as Dylan Carlson had three hits including a home run. Paul Goldschmidt also homered for the Cards as they play Washington today.

The Kansas City Royals tied the Texas Rangers Friday, 5 to 5 to start Spring Training, then beat Arizona Sunday, 11-10 scoring a run in the bottom of the 9th for the win after coming back from a 5-0 deficit. The Royals will play the LA Angels of Anaheim this afternoon.
