The Salem Baseball Tigers will open their season this afternoon at Cabool in the Cabool Baseball Tournament starting at 4:00, weather permitting. The Tigers will play Ava Wednesday at 3:00 and Van Buren Thursday at 6:30 all at Cabool in the tournament pool play. KSMO Radio does not carry tournament games and the first broadcast will be Monday, March 26th when the Tigers host Owensville. (Postponed and rescheduled for Friday at 4:00)

The Salem Tigers track teams will NOT participate in the Rolla Open House today at Rolla starting at 3:30 as earlier mentioned.  Instead, the Boys and Girls Track Teams will participate in a meet Tuesday, March 20th at St. James starting at 3:00.

Mfiondu Kabengele scored 14 points, and Florida State beat No. 8 seed Missouri 67-54 on Friday night in the West Region. Kassius Robertson had 19 points for Missouri. Michael Porter Jr. scored 16 in what might be his final college game, with 13 in the second half. Missouri never got closer than six in the second half before the Seminoles sealed the win with 15 straight points. The Tigers finished with a 20-13 record on the year.

This is the last week to signups for the Salem Parks and Recreation Department Spring Church Co-ed Softball League. The league will begin on April 2nd at the Al Brown Fields. Patrik Berglund scored 3:31 into overtime, and the St. Louis Blues came from behind for a big 5-4 victory over the lowly Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night. The Blues will host Boston Wednesday night at 6:30 on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Cardinals won with a 10 – 0 victory over the Washington Nationals. The Cardinals will have today off.

The Kansas City Royals won with an 11 – 9 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The Royals will also be off today.
