The St. Louis Blues travelled to Nashville Saturday and beat the Predators, 7-4. David Perron and Robert Thomas each scored two goals while Justin Faulk, Torey Krug and Brendon Saad also scored St. Louis in the win. Then on Sunday at the Enterprise Center against Winnipeg, Vladimir Tarasenko had a goal and two assists, but the Blues fell in overtime, 4-3. The Blues will be off until Thursday night when they play Pittsburgh.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced they have agreed to terms with free-agent right-handed pitcher Drew VerHagen on a two-year (2022-23) contract. Financial terms were not disclosed. VerHagen has pitched in Japan the past two years. The Cardinals also have come to terms with free-agent right-handed pitcher Nick Wittgren on a one-year deal. The 30-year-old pitcher has compiled an 18-15 record with a 3.75 ERA and 265 strikeouts covering 271.1 innings, mostly with the Cleveland Indians.
