The Missouri Basketball Tigers are back in the NCAA Tournament Big Dance as they are seeded 8th in the West Conference and will play Florida State, the 9th seed in Nashville on Friday. This is the first time Missouri has been in the tournament since 2013. However, with Cullen Van Leer already out, the Tigers may be even more shorthanded as Jordan Barnett was arrested early Saturday morning for suspicion of a DWI. No statement on how the team will handle that situation has yet been issued.

Paul Dejong’s solo homer in the 8th inning proved to be the game winner as the St. Louis Cardinals beat Washington Sunday, 4-3. Jose Martinez hit a two-run homer for the Cardinals who blew a 3-0 lead in the game. Luke Weaver went four scoreless innings in his start for the Cards who will have today off. The Cardinals are 7-8 on the spring.

The Cleveland Indians beat the Kansas City Royals Sunday in Cactus League action by the score of 3-1. The Royals have lost four straight games and slipped to 7-8 for the spring. Today, the Royals will split their squad and play games against San Diego and Texas.

Saturday, the Blues received goals from Robert Bortuzzo, Colton Parayko, Alex Pietrangelo, Ivan Barbashev, Vladimir Tarasenko, Kyle Brodziak and Jaden Schwartz as they beat the Los Angeles Kings, 7-2. It was the worst lost for LA all season. Going into the game, the Blues had lost nine of their last 10 games. Jake Allen made 40 saves as the Blues will be in Anaheim tonight. If all goes well with satellite repairs, KSMO will have the game on tonight starting at 8:30. The Blues are 1-1 on this West Coast trip and are three points out of a playoff spot.
