The Salem Middle School Football Camp will be held tomorrow through this Friday, July 14th from 6:00 until 7:30 in the evening. The cost is $30 and that includes a camp T-Shirt. This camp is for athletes will be in 7th and 8th grade for the upcoming fall 2017 season. For more information, contact Coach Brian McNamee.

Pablo Sandoval homered and had five RBIs to back an uneven start by Madison Bumgarner as the San Francisco Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals 13-8 on Sunday. Matt Carpenter hit his 17th home run and Yairo Munoz also went deep for St. Louis. The Cards split the series with the Giants and will be off today.

Rick Porcello pitched seven effective innings, Andrew Benintendi had four hits and scored twice, and the Boston Red Sox beat the Kansas City Royals 7-4 on Sunday and swept the three game series. Heath Fillmyer (0-1), who was making his first big league start, allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks. The Royals start a three game series tonight in Minnesota.

Pitcher Miles Mikolas for St. Louis and Catcher Salvador Perez of Kansas City have been selected to play in this year’s All-Star Game.

The St. Louis Blues have signed free-agent forward Jordan Nolan to a one-year, two-way contract. Nolan last year played for the Buffalo Sabres. The Blues also signed a one-year two deal with goaltender Jordan Binnington who played for the Blues and the minor league Chicago Wolves last year.
