Mike Foltynewicz tossed five shutout innings and Freddie Freeman homered as the Atlanta Braves held off the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5 on Sunday. The Braves swept a three-game series in St. Louis for first time since May 11-13, 2012. Tommy Pham homered for St. Louis, which has lost four in a row and who will open up a three game series in Arizona.

James Paxton limited Kansas City to two hits and struck out 11 in eight innings and the Seattle Mariners beat the Royals 1-0 on Sunday for their season-best seventh consecutive victory. Kansas City rookie Brad Keller (2-3) allowed six hits in eight innings. He allowed only one extra-base hit, Kyle Seager’s double in the seventh inning. The Royals begin a three game series with Cleveland tonight in Kansas City.
